What a Great Game Against Goderich!
The McIntee Atom Reps travelled to Goderich to face a team that they knew would give them a challenge. A. Quish was key in goal, as he was a factor in keeping us in the game.
McIntee Atom Reps were the first to score to take a lead in the 1st period with a goal by #3 C. Buehlow, assisted by #8 J. Spitzig. Goderich tied the game up a short time later.
Going into the 2nd period, the opposition went ahead with a couple of goals but the Walkerton boys came back with 20 seconds left and closed the gap with another goal by #7 N. Leslie, assisted by #9 H. Zettler & #14 C. Al.
Starting the 3rd period, with the score at 3-2 for Goderich, the McIntee Atom Reps didn't give up. They fought back and as the Walkerton fans were on the edge of their seat, another goal was scored with 21 seconds left by #8 J. Spitzig, assisted by #9 H. Zettler. Unfortunately, with the clock ticking, there wasn't enough time left in the game to help Walkerton come home with the win.
