Cuneo's Lose a Tough Battle,five periods later
Deciding game of the WOAA finals, Cuneo's lose in double overtime.

The Walkerton Cuneo's Atom LL team lost to a strong opponent, but it took the Seaforth Stars two overtime periods to beet us. The last game of the season was on Sunday in Walkerton and the boys were ready to play hockey on this day.Seaforth started out strong by utilizing there forwards with quick breakouts, but the Cuneo defense and goal tending held them to a no goal first period, all series long our defense was strong and this game wasn't any different as Mackenzie Mcteer took a shot from the point and beat the Stars net minder to give us the first goal of the game. Our forwards played well by taking some chances and placing the puck deep in the Stars zone, but unfortunately couldn't cash in, the Stars scored in the second period to tie up the game and it stayed that way until the end of regulation time. The first overtime period saw our boys get alot of chances, by hitting the post, missing an empty side of the net, but that didn't deter the Cuneo team.Austin Kelly and Tristen Zettel the centremen along with there wingers of Brett Wagner, Jarred and Joel Pletch, Connor Mcteer and injured winger Gordon Mckee gave it their all this game leaving nothing unturned or overlooked, our defense of Mac Mcteer, JP Kunkel, Jayden Louther, Cody Jones and Brady Kelly played a very positional and aggressive game, making great passes using the boards and getting the puck into the Stars zone. Our Goal tender Calder Davidson was unbeatable and only allowing five goals in three games making some terrific saves and keeping our boys within reach of the Cup,unfortunately it went into the second overtime period and you could see it in both teams that playing five periods, was getting to them. Our boys were trying to hold there own and it took almost the entire period before Seaforth got the winning goal to end the game. The Cuneo team played an outstanding period, and as the Stars received the trophy our boys held their heads high, congratulated them and finished off the season on a positive note, as A side Finalists in the WOAA Championship game. Great Job Cuneo's
