Webers Take Mt. Forest 5-2
Weber's Electric Peewee boys tallied their 5th win in their round robin playoff series, Sunday March 9, when Walkerton hosted Mt. Forest. Walkerton's Aaron Hill started the scoring for Weber's in the first period, assisted by Matt Engel and Max Barclay.
Early in the second Chase Louther found the opponent's net with help from Josh Konecny and Matt. Mt. Forest answered back several minutes later to make the score 2-1 Walkerton. 10 seconds later, Derek Ostendorff and Curtis Davidson set up a scoring chance for Max to cash in on. Chase added on a nice insurance goal, assisted by Arron and Ty Petteplace to end the period with a 4-1 lead. The third period belonged to our defense with Jesse Lamont fearlessly protecting the net with help from Caleb Diebold, Matt Engel, and Josh Konecny. Ty Petteplace received the pass from Curtis to send one more through for a comfortable lead. Mt. Forest grabbed one more chance to change the score board, ending the game with Walkerton's 5-2 win.
Well done boys.
