Webers Electric Peewee boys began their final playoff series, March 18, in Teeswater. The boys came to the ice, prepared to put on a great show, and they certainly did. Walkerton scored their first goal 36 seconds after the puck was dropped, points going to Max Barclay and Curtis Davidson.
The remainder of the first period, all of the second, was property of the fantastic 4. Our defensive force of Matt Engel, Josh Konecny, Caleb Diebold and goalie Jesse Lamont held strong. Early in the 3rd, Caleb, accepting a pass from Max, scored a beauty, to make the score 2-0. Teeswater battled hard to gain the puck, and waiting for their chance, drove in their first goal. With both teams fighting hard to dominate the play, Teeswater managed to tie the game. With both time and their opponents pressing down on them, Walkerton's Curtis Davidson smashed in the winning goal with 23 seconds left in the game. Assists were due to the smart team work of Chase Louther and Matt Engel.
Well done guys.
