What a Game!!
Hearts are still racing, following last nights game when Weber's Electric Peewee boys took on Larsen's Peewee boys. Fans from both teams were treated to a great show, as they mingled and visited with each other in the stands. Both teams came out strong, each battling for the win.
It looked like the first period would remain scoreless when Aaron Hill set up the puck, late in the first, for Max Barclay to find the far side top corner. The rest of the game, both teams fought hard to control the puck. Jonah Hudson, goalie for Larsens, appeared to be auditioning for Cirque de Soleil, as he stretched and contorted himself to keep that puck out. Wow, great job Jonah! Time ticked by, with no further score, throughout the second period. The third period looked like it would be the same, when the energy shifted and each team raised the bar. With only seconds left on the clock, Larsens pulled the goalie to gain the extra attacker. It looked like this play would work, with many scoring chances for Jesse Lamont to shut down. Webers saw their chance and gained the puck, and with only 3.7 seconds left Curtis Davidson found the empty net assisted by Caleb Diebold. Standing ovation for both teams, on a game well played. Thanks to our good luck charm, Nick Flett, for coming out to cheer on his team.
Great Job boys.
