Three for Three!!
The third playoff game in the round robin, for Webers Electric Peewee boys, proved to be a tough battle.  But if we have learned anything this season, it is that this team is not intimidated by a battle. Webers first and only contact with Mt. Forest ended in a tie, so the boys knew what they had to do.  Mt. Forest came out strong and scored the first goal only 22 seconds after the puck was dropped.

Webers soon answered back, when Max Barclay netted a goal with the help of Matt Engel, his right hand man (or right wing man).  And so it began.  The back and forth play and scoring, was more like watching tennis than hockey.
Mt. Forest had the next charge, making it 2-1.  Again Walkerton responded in kind with Max finding the goalie's weak side, unassisted, tieing the game.   In the second period, Curtis Davidson took charge and scored the go ahead goal with his usual determination. Assists chalked up to M & M (Max and Matt).  Mt. Forest tied the game shortly thereafter, to add to the suspense of this game.   Caleb Diebold, the silent sniper, receiving a sweet pass from Derek Ostendorff, watched for his chance and sizzled one by the goalie to once again claim the lead.  Mt. Forest, again fought hard and managed a tieing goal.  Beginning the third period, 4 all, Webers dug deep with their usual grit.   Aaron Hill, seizing the opportunity, found the puck and sent it on to Curtis to smash it on home.  Once again this team had to lean heavily on their defense to hold the lead.  With almost 10 minutes left in the game, this was no small feat.   Despite missing Nick Flett, due to an injury,  the defensive wall of Josh Konecny, Steve Perdue, Aaron Hill and Matt Engel, held strong.  Jesse Lamont was a solid force in this game, protecting the net with everything he had.  Bravo to Ty Petteplace, for playing through the pain and doing an outstanding job.

Great Job boys, and we all hope that Nick is feeling better soon!
Great Job
