Seeing Double
Sunday Jan. 20th Walkerton hosted Listowel, as the Weber's Electric Peewee boys readied themselves for action.  Unfortunately, due to the hostile weather, the goalie from the Listowel team was unable to make the trip to Walkerton.  Not wanting to disappoint the fans, Weber's offered Jesse Lamont to mind Listowel's net and multi-talented Curtis Davidson played net for Walkerton.   Although, it was a little confusing in the beginning, Weber's figured out which Walkerton Jersey to shoot at and the game was on.

Listowel got the first 2 goals of the game, but then Curtis got the hang of the new position and shut them down.
I'd like to know what Ty Petteplace had for breakfast, because he was all over this game.  He scored the first 2 goals for Walkerton with assists going to Matt Engel, Derek Ostendorf and Max Barclay.  Jesse Lamont was standing on his head out there to keep his team mates from finding a hole. The 3rd period belonged to Walkerton, when Caleb Diebold received a pass from Chase Louther and found the back of the net.  Chase then, smelling Listowel's fear (that's f e a r) pounded one in to make the score 4-2 for Walkerton. Then in the dying seconds of the game,  Derek Ostendorf and Ty Petteplace (sparks still flying off his skates) set up a gem for Max to tease on in.  What a great game.  It did seem a little strange to see Walkerton shooting on the goalie and then tapping his pads when he saved it.  Great fun for all.
