It certainly was a weekend filled with hockey for the Walkerton-Hanover Vet Clinic Midget team. They travelled to Mount Forest on Friday night. They had a lot of chances at the net but weren't able to come away with the win. The final score was 4-3 for Mount Forest. On Saturday the team was in Grand Valley for a tournament. They met New Hamburg in the first game and won 2-0. The second game was against the home-town Grand Valley Twisters. That game ended in a tie at 4 goals each. This past Thursday, the Walkerton-Hanover Vet Clinic travelled to Tara for their second playoff game against Arrian-Elderslie.

The Walkerton-Hanover Vet Clinic Midget Boys continued their playoff action with two games this past week. On Monday February 18, Walkerton travelled to Durham for a game that would see Walkerton come away with a 6-1 win. Walkerton started the scoring off in the first with a goal by B.J. Oliver, assisted by Josh Hadwen. The second goal was tipped in by Pat Koller off of Mark Zettler's shot from the point. Sunday Feb. 17th saw the midget vet clinic enter into their first play-off game End to end action took place in the first period until AE put one in the net with 10:50 on the clock. They added another goal two minutes later. Michael Linblad answered back when he netted one from Andrew Dentinger’s pass, to put Walkerton on the scoreboard. With less than a minute left in the first, AE scored their third goal of the period. The Walkerton-Hanover Vet Clinic midget team, had to miss the Super Bowl to play against visiting Wiarton. With Chris Flett filling in as goalie for Jamie Al, the boys hit the ice flying, and had many good chances, in the first few shifts. Although that team kept the puck in the Wiarton end, thanks to the defensive work of Chad Paulitski, Evan Koller, Kalvin Reid, Christian Drofkie and Mark Zettler, they were unable to score for a good part of the period.
