2 more playoff wins
This past Thursday, the Walkerton-Hanover Vet Clinic travelled to Tara for their second playoff game against Arrian-Elderslie.

Chris Flett started the game in net, and managed to hold off any goals until late in the first, when the opposition managed to get one by him. Midway through the second, Vet Clinic switched goalies, and put in Jamie Al for the remainder of the game. With little time left in the second period, the checking line managed to pop one in. Scored by Steve Keip, assisted by Pat Koller. With a 1-1 tie starting the final period, the Vet Clinic boys managed to utilize a power play from the end of the second. Getting a face off in the attacking end, Andy Dentinger won the draw back to Christian Drofkie who scored a beautiful goal from the point. The very next shift, the checking line scored again, once again Steve Keip this time from Evan Koller and P. Koller. Soon after, the opposition managed to get a second goal, putting the score at 3-2 for the Vet Clinic. Thanks to some excellent defensive positioning by Chad Paulitski and Mark Zettler, and awesome back checking by Alex Dales and Riley O’Hagan, the score remained, and Vet Clinic skated away with the win.
The following Sunday, the Vet Clinic boys had a home game against the Durham team. During the first period of the game, the home team managed to get the only two goals of the period. The first going to Dentinger, with assists going to Nathan O’Hagan and Keip, and the second by Kurtis Flett, assisted by Keip and Josh Hadwin. The score stayed at 2-0 until midway through the second, when the Durham team managed to get one past Al. Soon after, K. Flett got another goal, this time assisted by Dentinger and Kalvin Reid. Midway through the third, Vet Clinic managed to score a 4-on-4 goal, Dentinger from BJ Oliver. With under 5 minutes left in the game, N. O’Hagan put another one up on the board off a pass from Hadwin. Thanks to awesome breakouts by Mike Lindblad and Allan Rodgers, the boys managed to let in only one more goal, for a final score of 5-2.
