On Saturday, November 9th, the Prestige Contracting Peewee boys faced Minto in Walkerton.
The first period saw no scoring until Jacob Weiler scored with under two minutes to go assisted by Keaton Holm and Curtis Shaidle. Then with under a minute left the same players did it again! The score was 2-0 at the end of the first.
Prestige didn’t let up in the second and with great defensive play by Daylan Hopcraft, Connor Mcteer, Ryan Lair and Steven Ottewell Minto had few chances to score. Andrew Young started off the scoring this period assisted by Clint Holliday. Shortly after that Mcteer got one unassisted. Young got another assisted again by Holliday and Ottewell. Young got his third before the second ended, unassisted for the hat trick, making it 6-0 for Prestige.
The third period started with a goal by Holm assisted by Weiler and Eddie McKee. Then Nathaniel Illerbrunn got one assisted by McTeer and Holm. The scoring was wrapped up by a sweet top corner goal from Lair assisted by Ottewell. Although the play was mostly in the Minto end Matt Markauskas was on top of things when the play came his way and earned this shut out 9-0 for Prestige!
