Novice Reps Beat Mad Dogs for First Win!
The Walkerton Novice Reps beat the Minto Mad Dogs 4-1 to earn their first win of the season. The Capitals dominated play in the first period and opened the scoring nine minutes in when Turner McKenzie fired a wrister towards the net that beat the Mad Dogs keeper. With the score 2-1 for the Capitals, goalie Brayden Grife made a key save on a breakaway to preserve the lead. McKenzie notched a hat trick for Walkerton to make the score 3-1 and Ryan Fleischauer iced the game for Walkerton with a breakaway goal late in the third period. The Capitals will head to Palmerston on November 3rd for a rematch against the Mad Dogs.
