Novice Reps Advance to Semi-Finals
The Fritz Construction Novice Reps have advanced to the WOAA semi-finals after winning their quarterfinal playoff series two games to none against Durham.
After Turner Mackenzie's overtime goal gave Walkerton a 3-2 win in game one, the Capitals got a hat trick from Ryan Fleischauer and a pair of goals from Sky Berfelz in a 5-4 game two win. Goaltender Braydan Grife made several big saves in both games to help secure the wins for Walkerton.
The Novice Reps now advance to the semi-final round robin against Listowel and Goderich.
