PeeWee LL Girls win at home November 28, 2010
Our LL Pee Wee Girls were ready for a win, and they came out determined to make it happen.
Our Girls faced off against Mount Forest this past Sunday, after a close game with them a week ago, this Walkerton Capital Team knew that they could best them.
The first period was hard fought by both sides, with amazing saves made by Cassidy P, solid between the pipes. The first period ended in a scoreless tie, the girls gathered to plan for thier goal scoring in the second.
The second period saw both teams scrambling after the puck, and Mount Forest came out with 2 back to back goals, leaving us with a 2-0 score, but Walkerton was not done. Victoria I, helped out by Jocelyn F and Bailey T managed to best the Mt Forest goalie, bringing them within a goal.
Third period saw our defence ladies Georgina M, Karrissa S, Hope D, Ashlyn C and Paige F, working hard in the corners, and holding the line, to set Victoria up for her second goal of the game. The score was tied, and these girls were looking for more. The puck zinged from one end of the ice to the other, both teams working hard to get the winning goal. Bailey T managed a quick pass out front, finding the open stick of Lindsay C, who banged it home for the win.
Great game ladies, there was great team work today!
