Fritz Boys Lose A Battle to #1 Listowel
The Novice Rep Boys played tough against Listowel Sunday Afternoon
Jan 17th the boys went into Listowel to face the undefeated Cyclones. Coming off a tie in Silver Stick in the last meeting the game was sure to be a battle. The Walkerton Boys held Listowel to one goal in the first and got behind in the second after a few unlucky bounces. The third period was all Walkerton with many great chances. Tyler Priestap showed some awesome speed with several chances after out skating Listowel defence. Finally he got a pass to Denver Turnbull who potted the first Walkerton goal 5 minutes into the third. After many more great chances the boys got the puck to the back of the Listowel net on a great pass from Ryan Goetz to Keaton Holm. This was a great game with a whole team effort. Walkertons three defence, Jayce Busby, Jackson Pegalo and Tanner Stumpfle played some great heads up hockey to start several great breakouts. Setting up some great plays were Jaden Dietz and Jordan Lang and as usual some incredible goalkeeping from Matt Donnelly. Good Hard Work Boys.
