Fritz splits a pair of Games with Saugeen Shores
The Fritz Novice Reps went to Southampton Friday Nite after a two week break and played a great game. With no scoring in the first Walkerton opened the scoring in the second with a nice pass from Jordan Lang to Keaton Holm. Saugeen replied twice before Ryan Goetz scored from Holm and Lang, then Jacob Regier made a great solo effort to finish the period winning 3 - 2. Saugeen tied it in the third then took a brief lead before Goetz passed to Holm to tie it again. Saugeen scored 3 more to take the game 7 -4.
On Sunday the boys were ready in there own barn and took a 4 - 0 lead into the third on a pair of goals by Tyler Pristap, Goetz and Holm. Saugeen woke up scored a goal, then Goetz made a great shorthanded effort with Lang and Jayce Busby helping to show the Walkerton Dominance. Saugeen scored a few to make it a close 5 - 4 Walkerton Win. Excellent team effort with other great assists coming from Jaden Dietz, Tanner Stumpfle, Denver Turnbull, Regier, Goetz, Lang and Holm. Excellent goaltending as always from Matt Donnelly and several great defensive plays by Jackson Pegalo.
