In exhibition play Sunday November 9, Lang’s Midget C girls faced off against Normanby at home. Lang’s started off quickly with a goal one minute into play by Jill Pitt, unassisted.
Good passing and tough defense led Lang’s to another goal to finish off the first period. Scoring was Zera Murphy, assisted by Kyla Johnston and Alison Elphick. Christina Kaufman started the second off by slipping one past Normanby, with the help of Lesa Kittel. Almost a minute later Pitt found the net again assisted by Katie Pegelo and Erin Neil. Kittel made an end to end rush with Bridget King finding the rebound for the goal, Sabrina Clark also assisted. The score remained 5-0 until the end of the third when Clark deflected one into the net off a pass by King and Kaufman, bringing the score to 6-0. Emily Golem earned the shut-out in net. Langs next game is Mon. Nov. 10th in Belmore.
