Langs Dominate Honeywood
Despite a lack of numbers, the Walkerton Langs Midget girls HL came away with a 5-1 win against Honeywood Sun. Feb. 22nd.
Alison Elphick got the scoring started early off in the first, with a goal four minutes into the game, assisted by Bridget King. King then found the net herself, with Elphick assisting. Cosette Vandenberg then scored ending the first period, with the help of Lesa Kittel and Zera Murphy. Although there was not much rest, Scarlett Davidson managed to put the puck between the pipes, assisted by King and Elphick, to round off the second period with a 4-0 lead. The third period saw Honeywood manage to get a break scoring with six minutes left. With only .12 seconds left on the clock, Murphy found the net, with the help of Gab Lehman, ending the game with a 5-1 win for Langs. Alyson Spitzig played tough on defense and Kristen Ruetz helped out playing forward. Emily Golem hung in between the pipes.
