Cuneo Atoms Wins Against Wingham
Walkerton Cuneo Atoms traveled to Wingham for their third game of the season.  With a win and a loss under their belt, Cuneo went in looking for another win.  And a win is exactly what they got, through hard work and a strong defence.

This game was played with both a very strong offence and a heavy defence.  It was played hard and tough which resulted in many penalties from both sides.  During the first period things were looking bleak for the Cuneo team, with Wingham ending the first period with a 3 to 2 lead. Cuneo may have taken a period to feel out the Wingham Ironmen team but we let loose in the second and third periods.  Connor Johnson seemed to be a magnet for the back of the net during this evening game, resulting in 6 of the 11 goals that Cuneo worked for.  After the second period, Wingham only answered back once, leaving their final score at four.  However Cuneo came into this game wanting to win, with a strong defence by MacKenzie McTeer and JP Kunkel, to keep the puck in the Wingham end and a heavy showing from our forwards,  resulted in great hockey.  With a well executed pass from Jacob Weber to Connor Johnson goal number 3 was sent flying into the net.  Less then a minute later Quinn Tremble found the back of the net himself with an unassisted goal of his own.  And 20 seconds after that Jordan Dahms passed to an open Chris Cormack who popped in one of his own.  Frustrated over the plays Cuneo were producing two more goals were clocked in before the end of the second period, one by Connor Johnson and the other unassisted by Chris Cormack.
The third period saw no movement from Wingham but Walkerton wasn't done yet.  Connor Johnson saw two goals one assisted by  Cody Jones and the other unassisted.  Jacob Weber also saw another goal during this period, assisted by a fantastic pass from Brennan Wagner.  And for a memorable ending to this game a beautiful unassisted goal by a very hard working Chris Cormack.  The end result to an amazing game, Walkerton Cuneo 11, Wingham Ironmen 4.
