Season ends for Prestige with a bronze medal in the maroon division! Congratulations to all the boys and girls for a awesome season! With a special thank you to the coach Pat Donnelly for his guidance and patience to lead our team to such a accomplishment. On Sunday Feb.8 Prestige beat Wingham 8-1. Keaton Holm scoring his first goal of the season to be followed by 2 more goals and 2 assist giving him a hat trick. Nicholas Fairminer to score a goal in the second period assisted by Stephanie Young. Jacob Regier also getting a hat trick and 3 assists. Austin Hogg to score in the third period with a assist by Keegan Quish. On Valentine's Day Prestige put their heart's into a game against Kincardine to win 4-1. On Saturday Feb 7 Prestige traveled to Hanover to play in a tournament. The tournament started with a early game at 8 against the Hanover Barons. With several attempts to score throughout the game Prestige boys and girls came up empty. The Hanover Barons to win 2-0. MVP of the game was awarded to our goaltender Mathew Donnelly. Prestige travelled to Teeswater for a very exciting game. The first period was an end to end fast period. Mathew Donnelly making some stand on his head saves. Scoring started in the second period with the Teeswater Otters taking the lead. But defensemen #2 Ryan Girdler blasted a shot from the point and #7 Austin Hogg tipped it into tie it up. The 3rd period was when Prestige really poured it on. #3 Nickolas Fairminner scoring in scramble by the net. Prestige travelled to Kincardine in a snowstorm hoping the roads would not be closed for our trip back to Walkerton. It was a well worth trip, Prestige beat Kincardine 3-0. Mathew Donnelly to chaulk up another shut out. The first period was a intense period with lot's of defensive play by both teams.
