Saturday January 12th Durham Tournament Game #1
Walkerton vs. Durham Win 3 - 2
This Saturday brings our McIntee Atom Boys to the Durham Tournament. In game one we faced the host team Durham. After a scoreless first period our Capitals took the lead on an unassisted goal by Tyson MacLennon. Durham answered back quickly on a freaky goal that went off one of our defenseman’s stick to tie it up at one at the end of the 2nd period. In the 3rd our Capitals once again took the lead on another goal by Tyson MacLennon. Drawing assists this time were Brandon Dales and Bailey Zettler. With just under a minute and a half left to play Durham was awarded a penalty shot for delay of game. They capitalized on to tie the game up at 2. With just 43 seconds to play Matt Lang scored the winning goal with an assist from Tyson MacLennon. Also playing well this game was Lucas Bester and Curtis Biesenthal along with Jackson Stark.
