This game’s score doesn’t reflect how hard the boys played. Listowell is a very strong team. The only point worth mentioning in this game was the officiating. Due to some non-calls the boys started pushing the envelope until the game seemed to get out of hand. This resulted in a scrum near the end of the game where one player came to the defense of another and ended up with a very questionable multi game suspension. Coach Zettler had a discussion with the town’s contacts and hopefully future games will be controlled more closely. When it is all said and done winning or losing is not the question, protecting the players and ensuring a safe fun experience is key.
