Legion Pee Wees Start the Season
On Wednesday November 7, 2007 this year's Walkerton Pee Wee Rep team played their fourth regular season game when they took on Saugeen Shores in a home game.
They played a good first period but fell behind with 4:35 left in the second period. The puck came out of the corner in front of the net. It was picked up by a wide open man who stuffed it in the open net. The Walkerton Pee Wees tried hard to put one in but again Saugeen Shores capitalized. With 6:52 left in the third there was a giveaway in the corner. A Saugeen Shores player took it and it weakly squeaked in the net. After that goal, the Pee Wees played their hearts out, effortlessly trying to mount a comeback, forcing many shots on net. Unfortunately, with 44 seconds remaining, a Saugeen Shores defender let a high bullet go from the top of the circle on a rush. It blew in the net. Not many goalies could have stopped it.
This year's team consists of: Wes Cameron in net, Darren Paulitzki, Cal Schaus, Brendan King, Mitch Eckert and sometimes Patrick Walsh on defence. On forward are: Paul Lindblad, Adam Lindblad, Josh Busby, Cory Paulitzki, Cam Wagner, Cole Alexander and also Patrick Walsh if not playing defence. Head Coach is Scott Fell, Assistant Coach is Jason Batte and Trainer is Matt Coleman.
