CMR takes another win
In an exciting match with Mount Forest, the Bantam CMR team came out on top with another win. It was a close game ending with a final score of 2-1 for CMR.
Mount Forest started the scoring with a goal in the first period which was answered by a Presley Cormack's goal in the second, assisted by Eric Elliott. Jacob Murphy, affectionately known as "Cobby", popped CMR's second goal in on an assist from Junior Berberich and Chase Louther.
Just prior to the game, Mount Forest had set up a skills competition so representing CMR were Andy Beadle and Colton Louther with their hard hitting slapshots with Andy taking top speed for his shot at 104 kms. In the accuracy shooting, Eric Elliott and Presley Cormack both showed their stuff with Eric finishing in a tie with a Mount Forest player for putting 3 shots in. Andy Beadle and Jacob "Cobby" Murphy were entered in the fastest skating with Andy going to the final round but the Mount Forest player had the best time. These boys did a great job in the competition and provided some excitement for fans before the game.
