CMR Bantams topple Saugeen Shores
Walkerton's CMR Bantam Boys took the win on Friday night when they beat Saugeen Shores 7 to 1. Eric Elliott started the scoring in the first on an assist from Junior Berberich. Brent Eckenswiller followed with CMR's second goal, unassisted. Saugeen Shores tried to get in the game with one goal in the second bringing the score to 2 -1 but it was to be their one and only.
Junior Berberich popped another one between the posts in the second on an assist from Colton Louther.
Goalie Cole Dales kept CMR's net well guarded with the help of Andy Beadle, Jake Murphy, Ben Kittel, and Colton Louther while forwards Presley Cormack, Mitchell Currie, Matt McLean, Eric Elliott, Brent Eckenswiller, Junior Berberich, and Chase Louther kept the pressure on the Saugeen Shores goalie.
The third period saw Eric Elliott continue his scoring, adding three more markers, one on a pass from Junior Berberich and the next two unassisted. CMR's scoring was finished off by Matt McLean, assisted by Presley Cormack and Chase Louther to bring CMR's tally to 7.
