Well folks we’re back
and ready for another stellar season of hockey.
We’ve added some new faces and have some returning from previous
years. All I can say folks be prepared
to be thrilled, chilled and shook up this 2012- 2013 hockey season.
With a strong coaching staff at the helm, players ready to show what they have to bring to this game and an amazing support of family and friends to cheer them on. This season is going to be SWEET or as the kids of today would say SICK! I would like to take this time to mention our amazing sponsor Webers Electric who without their support we wouldn’t be able to make this season at all possible. A BIG THANK YOU TO WEBERS ELECTRIC! I think it’s time to introduce you to the team!
Returning after last years season ender with a sprained ankle (and still managed to play all the play off games) our net minder Chasen Hauck or better known as Chase Man. This goalie is in such high demand for his stellar tactics in net that he could be playing for at least 3 of our Walkerton hockey teams this year! Pretty impressive if you ask me! Am I ever glad he’s on our team!!!! Go get em this year Chase Man do your thing! It is a known fact that behind every great goalie (or in this sport ahead of every great goalie) is a strong defense. With the defensive line up this year Chase Man can be rest assured that they will have him covered. Daylan (CRAZY LEGS) Hopcraft, Austin (AUZZIE) Hogg, Micheal (FORT-KNOX) Fortney and Jayden (HOBO) Louther will do their best to hold off whatever or whoever shall come their way this season. Moving on to the forwards and wingers, oh the talent coach has to choose from this year. The lines are going to be fast and fierce. If you’re looking for great end to end, action packed hockey you may not want to miss any of the PW LL #1 games this season. With lines such as Ben (MOOSE) Schmidt and his littler brother Willy (WHEELS) Schmidt, teamed up with the lightning speed of Tyler (THE FLASH) Priestap. Muscles and speed all gift wrapped in one package just waiting to be opened (unleashed) on the ice. You won’t want to miss the action when coach teams up the Schmidt - Brothers with Andrew (DANGLES) Young to make the CARGILL CONNECTION line either.
It isn’t going to matter what lines coach puts out there if its action and pure love of this game you want to see, then don’t miss a game! The talent and spirit of Coleman (SHARP SHOOTER) Meyer, Jordan (HERES BRUCEY!!!/ JORDY B) Bester and Ryan (RY GUY) Lair only enhance the true GRIT, GUTS and GLORY of this team. These boys give it their all every shift they’re out there on the ice. So here’s to you boys for all your efforts and the entertainment you will provide for us parents, grandparents, coaches and fans again this season. You make us all proud. GO WALKERTON GO!!!!
