For the month of October, the Bantam Girls Rep team was kept busy with hockey. They had in total 8 games in the whole month, the games were played by teams from Milverton,Waterloo to Flamborugh, and Kitchener.

So the second game of the month was played on October 14 in Milverton. The Walkerton girls had a strong game, coming out with a 3-0 win. The first goal was scored by Jasmine Thompson (unassisted), second goal was Ashley Ernst with the assist going to Lindsay Crowe. The thrid goal of the game went to Nicole McKague, getting her first goal of the season unassisted. The terrific goaltender that was between the pipes for the Walkerton team was Cassidy Becker. Becker helped her team get a second shut-out.

On October 16, the girls had Waterloo come visit them on the home ice. These girls decide that they wanted another strong game, with a final score of 3-0 for Walkerton. The first goal was by Thompson, assisted by Erika Spitzig, and the second goal went to Ernst with an assist by McKague. Thompson was able to get one more goal by herself to give the girls a three game streak. And once again Becker was keeping the other team from finding her net.

On October 19, the girls hit the road to go visit St. Mary's for the first time. The girls wanted to do one better then the previous games. So they went for a 4-0 win and brought it home. The first goal was by Thompson with Ernst getting the assist. Second goal went to McKague with help from defencemen Dallas Fisher. Thompson was able to get an assist on the thrid goal by passing a beautiful set-up to Victoria Weber, giving Weber her fist goal of the season. The fourth goal goes to Ernst with the assist being shared by Weber and Thompson. Becker and the defence was able to keep control of the other team from scoring.

On October 21, the girls went to Woolwich. They were able to come out with a another win, even if the score was only 1-0. Alli Meyer with the help of Michelle Bester was able to get not only the only goal of the game, but her first goal of the season. With the help of the rest of the team the girls were able to hold their lead for the rest of the game. The girls now have a five game winning streak.

On October 23, Twin Centres came to Walkerton to meet up with the girls. Twin Centers decide that they had to put an end to the winning streak of Walkerton. They were able to get one lucky goal around goalie Cassidy Becker in the second period. The Walkerton girls just could not find an opening in their net. This put the girls at a 5-2 standing overall.

On October 27, the girls went to play Flamborugh with a mission. They were going to take back there winning streak and thats what they did. The girls took a 5-0 win away from this game. This was possible by Meyer getting a goal with help from Bester, Spitzig managed to get the second goal with Ernst getting the assist. Weber with the help of Thompson brought the thrid goal. While Thompson was able to get her own goal with the help of Ernst. Meyer was able to sneak one goal past their goalie with the help of Bester and Krista Konecny.

On October 30, the girls had their last game of the month against Kitchener. The girls kept the score of the game at 2-1, giving them there seventh win of the season. Bester got the first goal for Walkerton with the help of Fischer and Konecny. The second goal was by Meyer with the help of Konecny and Spitzig. Becker did great in the net by giving Kitchener only one goal.

So in the end of the busy month for the girls, they were able to walk away with a total of seven wins and only one lost. The great line ups that did this was Forwards: Michelle Bester, Allis Meyer, Krista Konecny & Nicole MaKague, Lindsay Crowe, Courtney Borgford & Jasmine Thompson, Ashley Ernst and Victoria Weber. Defence: Hope Diebold & Dallas Fisher and Erika Spitzig & Courtney Wilken. The goaltender was Cassidy Becker.
