Last regular season game of the year has our Bantam Rep Boys travelling to Listowel to face their undefeated team. Some teams with a record of wins vs losses like our has would have rolled over and let Listowel have an easy win. Not our boys though.
Our boys opened the scoring first on a power play goal by Braeden Davidson assisted by Tyson MacLennan. This goal held until just 40 seconds to go in the first when Listowel tied it up. Keeping that momentum going Listowell took the lead early in the second. Our boys clawed back to tie the game up on an unassisted goal by Tyson Maclennan. Penalty troubles kept us at bay as we had t kill off three 4 minute penalties and one 5 on 3 as well holding a very strong Listowel team off the scoresheet during these times. However about halfway through the 3rd Listowel took the lead an although we pressured even pulling the goalie late in the game could not muster a goal to tie the game. Listowel may have kept their undefeated season but we came the closest to ending it. Well done boys!!
