The Larsen Bantam girls have continued their excellent play this season and have qualified for the OWHA Provincial tournament to take place in Mississauga on April 13-15.

Nine teams battled to secure one of the 2 spots that will represent our region at the tournament.  Pool 1 included Markdale, Bruce Peninsula, Georgian Shores and TCDMHA. Pool 2 had Walkerton, Mildmay, Normanby, Kincardine and Saugeen Shores. In a single round robin, Walkerton took first place in the pool defeating Mildmay 6-1, Normanby 5-0, Kincardine 4-2 and Saugeen Shores 8-0.

The second round included the top two teams from each pool in another single round robin. Walkerton once again earned the top spot with strong play defeating Bruce Penimnsula 8-1, Markdale 2-0 and Kincardine 3-0.

Larsens have also been competing in the Lower Lakes Female Hockey League playoffs. They were victorious in the first two rounds defeating Woolwich and Twin Centre. They now face South Huron in round three with the victor to take part in the final four championship tournament that will take place in Mississauga at the end of March.
