Big Win and Close Loss Weekend
On Dec 10th the Capitals had a high scoring game against Teeswater. Saunders earned another shutout. The score was 7 - 0.
Goals were scored by Turnbull, Shaidle (2), Holliday, Keip (2), and Quanbury.
Assists went to Fotheringham (2), Borho (2), Zettler (2), Keip and Reaman. This was a good game with everyone contributing to the win!
Next Day Walkerton travelled to Port Elgin to have a rematch with Saugeen Shores. This exhibition game was a great one. The Caps played a very strong game. Fotheringham had an amazing game. He stopped many shots and made a nice glove save. The caps credit the defensive lines for slowing down the Shores top players. The Caps came up short with a 4 -3 loss. It was exciting as the Capitals almost evened up in the dying seconds with the goalie pulled. Goals were credited to Quanbury (2), Keip and assist to Reaman.
