Out with a BANG....
Novice team ends the 2009 year on a high.
December 29th Walkerton Collision played Teeswater in their final game of 2009. Matt Markauskas was poised and ready in goal to fend off all shots and the rest of the team was pumped.
The first period started off with quick plays end to end before Keegan Quish pounded one in the net off great passes from Curtis Shaidle & Melissa Laird. Just over a minute later Jacob Weiler slipped one past the Teeswater goalie with the assists credited to the quick Aiden Hinsperger and Clint Holiday. Jacob had many break aways with near goals but got another goal with only 1:20 left in the first period. It was a great shot that rebounded back to Jacob in the corner and with an amazing backhand shot he scored again!
The team played hard for the rest of the game and were able to keep their 3 & 0 lead. Matt was solid in goal and to his credit racked up another shutout.
Looks like this team has at last found their groove, not only two wins in a row, but two shutouts! Way to go guys, great job, we are behind you all the way.
