Well, they did it! The Walkerton Capitals (Kinettes) midget B girls hockey team are the OWHA (Ontario Women's Hockey Association) 2008-09 midget B Provincial Grand Champions. Man, that feels good to say! Thanks for all your support! Cindy Reading 519-327-8690

In one of their last stops of the 2008-09 hockey season, the Walkerton Capitals (Kinettes) midget B girls' team pulled into Hamilton April 3 to 5 to partake in the Hamilton Hawks annual tournament in the midget B division. Having varying success in the past years, the team was keen to make a lasting impression on what will be the last year for most of the team's players.

The end of March also marks the end of the regular season for hockey players and the Walkerton Capitals (Kinettes) midget B girls' hockey team were no exception. By the time of the WOAA year end playoff tournament March 27 to 29, the participants in the WOAA?s ever-growing league had wrapped up the 2008-09 season's make-up games and were poised to "leave it all out on the ice" for another year.
