Two one goal losses for Midget Capitals.....
Listowel Cyclones edged Walkerton Capitals by a score of 2-1. In a game which saw excellent goal tending from both teams, Justin Wright was the only Walkerton player to solve the Listowel goalie. With assist to Jordan Reiger and Andrew Dentinger. With the score tied at 1 early in the third a Listowel pass from the corner deflected off a Walkerton skate to give Listowel the 2-1 lead. A strong constant fore check from the home team created several good chances but could not score the equalizer.
Midget Rep travel to Port Elgin.... After a slow start, down 2-0 at the end of the first Walkerton tied the score at 2 on goals by Steve Thompson and Andrew Dentinger. Port Elgin took the lead only to have Wallerton answer 17 seconds later. The third period started at 3 all Walkerton took the lead 2 minutes into the third with a goal from Tony Howe. Two late third period penalties proved to be very costly as Port Elgin scored 2 power play goals in 4 minutes to steal the win.
