Larsens win B Championship in Tournament
The Larsens LL PeeWee's win the 'B' side Championship Trophy
On Sunday, Nov 18 the local league PeeWee tournament was held in Walkerton with 8 teams participating from Strathroy, Plattsville, Tavistock, Woolwich, Orangeville, Hanover and 2 Walkerton teams. Larsen's had a tough battle in their 1st game against Woolwich and played it out to a 10-1 loss. Their 2nd game was against Hanover and after 2 periods, it looked like an early trip home for the day as Hanover was up 2-0. The boys turned it up a notch and scored 3 goals in the 3rd to win 3-2. The win entitled them to play in the 'B' side championship game against Plattsville. With hard work and great effort from the entire team, the boys skated to a 3-1 win to earn the bronze medal and keep the consolation trophy in Walkerton. Lance earned the most points for the team in the tournament. Individual stats to be posted later. The teams' overall record is now 4-1-1.
