2-1 Win in OT
The Ernewein Juvenile Caps rode an outstanding goaltender performance by Andrew Hughes to defeat the Listowel Cyclones 2-1 in OT on Saturday night. The win gives the locals a 1-0 lead in the best of 5 WOAA championship series.
It was a very tough game as the Cyclones brought their A game to Walkerton. Scoring for the Capitals were Andy Zippel and Mitch Dentinger (unassisted). Jeremy Wright and Kurt Grubb were asssigned helpers on Zip's goal. The Caps travel to Listowel for game 2 next Saturday, February 9 at 6:30 pm.
