2020-2021 Season

As the 2020-21 Season is fast approaching,we have been working hard to make the best of this uncertain time and provide all the Walkerton Minor Hockey players a great season.  We would not be able to do this without the volunteers and great support from our membership, this season will be like no other. 

We will be asking for volunteers to run the attendance for each group and this will count towards your volunteer hours.  A coaching email will follow as we will require more coaches than the previous season, so any help is very much appreciated.  We will be running the skills groups for 2-3 weeks during this time we will be recruiting coaches, dividing out the teams and organizing the first stage of 3 on 3.  A note for coaches with expired Quals or coaches looking to get qualified, this is all being reviewed on a path forward with OMHA/OWHA. 

Arena protocol for the 2020-2021 season

*        Masks and social distance rules apply to everyone entering the arena

*       Arrive no earlier than 15 mins prior to your ice time, The Lobby side door will be locked until 15 min prior

*       Arrive fully dressed -  Skates, helmets and gloves can be done at the arena

*       Always enter the arena through the Lobby side Door

*       Sign in the attendance book beside your child’s name and ensure you have completed a self assessment prior to arriving which can be found here:OHF health screening form

*       Get completely ready via Dressing room 1-4 or the lobby chairs

*     Please allow the Goalie's priority for the change rooms

*     Water bottles will not be supplied so please bring one if needed and label with your child's name

*       When you’re ready to go please take your bag to the far end of the stands beside the hawks room

*        Recommending 1 guarding per player can view the practice or game from the stands in row 1 and 2

*        Viewing from the lobby is not permitted as they will be sanitizing prior to the next ice time

*        After your ice time is complete please remove your skates, helmet and gloves and exit the Hawks Door

-     IP JR 1   A-K

-     IP JR 2   L-Z

-     IP SR 1  A-I

-     IP SR 2  J-Z

-     Atom Boys 1 A-L

-     Atom Boys 2 M-Z

-    Peewee Girls 1   1 years(2009)

-    Peewee Girls 2   2 years(2008)

-    All other division have one group only
