Walkerton Minor Hockey Update
Hello everyone,

I thought I would touch base with you and give you an update on what Walkerton minor hockey has accomplished to date.  Every team has started their season.  A big thanks goes out to all the volunteer coaches, trainers, and managers for helping out with his or her team.  We have hosted 2 very successful local league tournaments with a 3rd happening next weekend.

Another big thanks goes out Paul Goetz and his team of parents and volunteers for running these.  We have held a golf tournament and golf bus trip and the fund raising committee has been busy with student dances, apparel sales, and have recently launched a chocolate bar sales drive.  A huge thank you goes out to the entire committee.  Without fund raising we would have even higher hockey fees so please help them out and get those chocolate bars sold.  Walkerton Minor Hockey now has our first training mentor, Sharon Johnson.  She will be working with the team's trainers this

year.   We are excited to have her on board.  Now for some things that are

coming up.  The horse palace will be open to Minor Hockey Tuesday Nov 20th which means more practice time for every team.  Once again, we are very lucky to have Randi DelGuidice and Steve Schaus back again to head up our weekly

goalie clinic which starts next Tuesday as well.   Thank you very much guys.

So if you are a goalie please come out and take advantage of this great clinic.  Details on this clinic can be found on our website.  That's about it.  Comments and suggestions are always welcome.  Hopefully only nice ones though.  On behalf of Walkerton Minor Hockey please continue to enjoy your season.  Play hard, cheer hard, stay safe, and most importantly, HAVE FUN!!!!

Sincerely,

Don Leslie
