Game 10 vs. Hanover Falcons
It would be a busy weekend at the Walkerton arena as Walkerton would host it first ever Hockey Weekend in Walkerton with most of its teams playing home games.  As part of the festivities Walkerton Minor Hockey was also encouraging the teams to participate in Hockey Fights Cancer and raise awareness for the Chapman Hospice coming to town. Many of the Sunday games, however, would be cancelled because of the freezing rain and ice pellets making for dangerous driving conditions.  The Bantam boys game, however, would be played against its Highway #4 rivals the Hanover Falcons.

Walkerton would open the scoring early in the first period when Cayleb Peitz went in on a break away and would tuck in his own rebound passed the Hanover net-minder.  Hanover would respond just under a minute later while on the power play and would score again later in the period on the power play.  The Falcon's would take a 2-1 lead into the second period.

The Falcons would score in the opening minute of the second period to increase its lead.  The Capitals would respond on the power play less than a minute later when Landon Young fired a loose puck into the back of the net after jumping on a big rebound for his first career goal, assisting on the goal were Joshua Flood and Cayleb Peitz.  The two teams would battle as the period continued, but some outstanding goaltending from both teams would keep the game close with Hanover holding a 3-2 lead at the end of the period.

The third period and the game would continue at a feverous pace.  Hanover would score its third power play goal of the game with just over 10 minutes remaining.  Walkerton would continue to battle and would come close but Hanover would again score with just under 6 minutes remaining.  Walkerton never wanted to give up, would score with 4:36 remaining when Cayleb Peitz chipped the puck off the boards and went around a Hanover defender before snapping the puck passed the goalie with a fine wrist shot.  The Capitals would push the play and then pull its goalie but Hanover would score an empty net goal with 33 seconds remaining to solidify the win with a final score of 6-3.
