Game 2 vs. Arran-Elderslie Ice Dogs
The Walkerton Capitals would travel to Paisley on Wednesday, October 23rd, 2019 to play the Arran-Elderslie Ice Dogs. The Capitals would be short three players for the game and as such would only be using two lines.

The first period would see the Ice Dogs come out quickly and use a game of precise passing and fast skating to keep the Capitals hemmed in its own end for much of the period.  Arran-Elderslie would dominate much of the possession time but as the period concluded the teams would be knotted in a scoreless battle.

Walkerton would step up its game and come out with more jump to start the second period.  The Capitals would open the scoring just over three minutes into the period when Joshua Flood jumped on a loose puck and slide it under the Ice Dogs goalie unassisted.  The two teams would continue to battle as the period continued and Arran-Elderslie would tie the game with just over five minutes remaining.  The period would end with the score locked in a 1-1 tie.

The third period would again see Arran-Elderslie come out quickly and pressure the Walkerton net.  Goaltender, Ryan Hinsperger would see more rubber than the Michelin tire man as shots were fired from every angle only to be turned away time after time.  The Ice Dogs would take the lead with just under three minutes to play when a shot from the point would deflect off two Walkerton players and into the open corner.  Arran-Elderslie would then score another goal less than a minute later when a loose puck would find the back of the end after a goalmouth scramble.  The Capitals would not give up, but make several valiant rushes deep into the opposition end only to be denied by some fine goaltending from the Ice Dogs net-minder.

The Walkerton Capitals would drop the game 3-1 but not once did they ever give up.  The Ice Dogs would out shot the Capitals in this game by a huge margin yet only in the final moments would the game be decided.
