Playoff Game 3 vs. Saugeen Shores Storm
The Walkerton Capitals would host the visiting Saugeen Shores Storm on February 19, 2019 for Game 3 of the playoffs.

The Capitals would open the scoring just before the 3 minute mark of the first period when Matthew McNaughton would strip a defender of the puck and go in on a break away and fire a shot over the shoulder of the goalkeeper and just under the cross bar. The Storm would, however, battle back and score twice before the period would end and take a 2-1 lead into the second period.

Early in the second period the Storm would increase its lead after a goalmouth scramble and a puck crossing the line.  The Capitals would then pull within a goal when Connor Farrell buried a hard shot after taking a pass from Jack Walter and Kyle Graul.  Walkerton would then have the opportunity to pull even when Jack Walter was pulled down while on a break away and awarded a penalty shot.  While unsuccessful on the attempt the Capitals were pumped and would tie the game when Matthew McNaughton got his second of the game after he jumped on a big rebound and found the back of the net, assisting on the goal were Colby Schmidt and Ben Eddyvean.  The game would be tied at 3-3 at the conclusion of the second period.

The third period and the Capitals would take the lead after Kyle Graul would score on a break away after he sent his shot over the glove hand of the Saugeen netminder.  The Capitals would then increase its lead when Logan Bradley would find the back of the net after taking a centering pass from Kyle Graul.  The Storm would respond quickly with a goal of their own to trail only by a single goal.  Logan Bradley would then score his second of the game while the Capitals were able to sustain pressure in the Saugeen zone, assisting on the goal were Matthew McNaughton and Ben Eddyvean.

The Capitals remain undefeated in the playoffs with two wins and a tie.  While still early in the round the boys have been playing some very good hockey with each and every team member contributing.
