Playoffs Game #7 vs. West Grey Warriors
The Capitals would play host to the visiting West Grey Warriors on Saturday, March 3rd, 2018.  The game would be game seven of the playoff round robin and the start of a busy three games in four days.

Walkerton would come out flying to start the game when just 20 seconds into the period they would score their first goal.  Cobi Johnson would win the opening face off and drop the puck back to Scott McTeer who would burst into the Warrior zone and attempt a wrap around from behind the net only to have the puck wring off the post and come into the slot area where Kyle Rumphf would fire a shot into the back of the net.  The Warriors would score with 6:18 remaining to tie the game.  The teams would continue to battle as the period went on but the first period would come to an end knotted at one a piece.

The second period would see the teams continue to battle and each team would have a two man advantage although neither would be able to capitalize.  The period would end with no scoring through 15 minutes of play.

The third period again would see Walkerton pressure early and would hit goal posts in the opening minutes of the period.  The Capitals would score with 9:14 remaining after Kyle Rumphf sent a pass to Cobi Johnson who did some great work along the boards and stepped out and around a defender before his wrist shot beat the Warrior net-minder.  The Walkerton lead would be short lived, however, as West Grey would score less than 2 minutes later to again tie the game.  The Capitals would then score 45 seconds later when a pinching Liam Osborne would unleash a shot from the slot area that would elude the West Grey goalie after taking a pass from Kyle Rumphf.  The scoring would conclude when Kyle Rumphf scored his second in the game with 4:49 left in the period after taking a pass from Cobi Johnson who again did some great work along the boards.

Another solid team effort, the boys played well in their own end and made the most of scoring opportunities as they presented themselves. The passing game was great and the positional play of all players was topnotch.
