Game 12 vs. West Grey Warriors
The Walkerton Capitals would play the visiting West Grey Warriors on November 29, 2017 in Walkerton.  The two teams were both sitting near the top of the OMHA North Division.  So a fast skating action packed game was expected and no one would leave disappointed.

The Capitals would come out quickly in the first period and score 2 ½ minutes into the frame after Tyler Wallace would take a pass from Matthew McNaughton and Cody Brown before finding the back of the net.  Walkerton would continue to pressure throughout the remainder of the period but were unable to score to increase its lead.  Walkerton would lead 1-0 after the first 10 minutes.

The second period would again be dominated by the Capitals.  Colby Schmidt would score at 3:22 into the period after a goal mouth scramble, assist was credited to Cobi Johnson.  The teams would continue to battle as the period went on the Capitals would score again when Colby Schmidt scored his second of the game after great three way tic tac toe play with Cobi Johnson and Kyle Romphf.  Walkerton would lead 3-0 after two periods.

The third period would once again find the Capitals crashing the net and using its passing game to its full potential.  Just before the six minute mark Jack Walter would fire a wrist shot from the front of the net over the glove of the West Grey goaltender after taking a pass from the corner from Cayleb Peitz.  Kyle Romphf would score unassisted after a great deke on a break away while Walkerton was on the power play, with 7:22 left in the period.  The scoring would wrap up with Cayleb Peitz finishing a three way passing play from Jack Walter and Carson Filsinger with just over 2 ½ minutes remaining.

Another complete team effort as the Capitals used its speed and puck control throughout the game.  Ryan Hinsperger was solid in net for Walkerton as he recorded his third shut out of the season.  The defence was strong in front of its own net and blocked several Warrior shots to prevent the puck from reaching the net.  The forwards were moving the puck very well and were rewarded because of it.
