Too early a game maybe????
Or so it seemed for the second meeting against South Bruce. The girls did not seem that they were truly awake at the beginning of the game and struggled throughout the first period. South Bruce took total advantage of this and were able to get a commanding lead of 4-0 by the end of the first period.
It seems that whatever inspirational speech Coach Steve gave to the girls between the periods worked! The girls had a much better second and third periods with the girls appearing to wake up and get their heads into the game. We now saw some shots on the net from our forwards and our defence made a good job of keeping the South Bruce team away from our net for the most part. The goalies Vicki and Tiffany were able to stop the few that came their way. The final score for the game was 4-0 keeping the score even from the end of the first. If only we could ditch that first period..........
