Atom Girls C Win 2 of 3
The Atom Girls C team played 3 games in 4 days and came away with 2 wins to improve their record to 7-6-1. Overall the team played very well over the 3 game stretch.
The team travelled to Tiverton on December 13th to play the Kincardine Kinucks and came away with a frustrating 2-0 loss. The team played very well dominating the play for most of the game and had numerous scoring opportunities and 2 disallowed goals. Credit must be given to the Kincardine goalie who made numerous saves and earned the win for her team.

The Mount Forest Rams visited on December 14th and the girls earned a hard fought 7-3 win on home ice. Chloe Zettler had a huge game with 4 goals as did Maggie Bujold with 2 goals of her own. Chloe started the scoring early in the first to put Walkerton up 1-0 only to have Mount Forest come back with 2 quick goals to take a 2-1 lead. Chloe netted her second goal of the game to tie it before the end of the period. 41 seconds into the second period Chloe netted her third goal followed shortly after by Maggie with her first of the game to put Walkerton up 4-2. Mount Forest scored again late in the period and Walkerton took a 4-3 lead into the third period. The rest of the game belonged to Walkerton. Chloe quickly netted her fourth goal followed soon after by Emily Mason to put Walkerton up 6-3. Maggie would net a late goal to seal the 7-3 victory which was a well rounded team effort for Walkerton. Alyssa Turnbull made several saves including 2 or 3 breakaways to give her team a chance to win. McKenna Hickling, Sonya Spitzig, Nicole Schmidt, and Megan Bell did a fantastic job on defense making the Mount Forest forwards work hard for their opportunities. 
On December 16th the team travelled to Paisley to face the Arran-Elderslie Icedogs and earned a 6-0 victory. The team got started early and were up 4-0 by the end of the first period. Scoring for Walkerton were Jayda Widmeyer, Emily Mason, Chloe Zettler, and Leah Elphick who played very well. Jayda Widmeyer scored her second goal of the game early in the second period to put Walkerton up 5-0. Megan Bell showed her versatility moving up to forward and rounded out the scoring mid way through the third period to seal the 6-0 victory. Kali Fischer played well setting up opportunities for her linemates and McKenna Hickling came close to finding the net on a couple rushes up the ice.
The Atom Girls on next on the ice December 21st at home against the TCDMHA Rebels. Game time is 4pm.
