Walkerton Capitals travelled to Harriston Wednesday December
4 to take on the Minto Mad Dogs, in what was a close, exciting hockey game at both ends of the ice.
Walkerton came out Wednesday keen to make up for two lacklustre games that they had played over the weekend. This game saw lots of action and many chances for the Capital forwards, who played a quick, aggressive game. Walkerton’s defence did a great job at holding the Minto blue line and chasing down the Mad Dog forwards. 2 periods went by with the scoreboard sitting empty before Lucas Bester took advantage of an unfortunate bounce by one of the Bull Dogs defencemen and scored his 5 goal of the season.
Ryan Hinsperger earned his first shut-out of the season, making some key saves through out the game.
Walkerton hosts Hanover Monday December 9 at 7pm at the Walkerton Community Centre and travels to Mount Forest Sunday December 15 at 1pm.
