Prestige Contracting PeeWee Boys Celebrate Another Win
On February 28th Prestige Contracting PeeWee boys were victorious in their game against the Milverton Drives.
The game turned out to be a low scoring game. All goals, for both Milverton and Walkerton, being scored in the 1st and 3rd period. Despite being short two players, Eddie McKee opened the scoring for Walkerton with less than 4 mins left in the first period, assisted by Ryan Lair and Keaton Holm. With 1.2 seconds remaining Jacob Weiler scored the second goal of the game assisted by Connor McTeer and Andrew Young.
The second period was a flurry of skates, sticks and passes but no goals were obtained by either team.The third period was tight and with one player in the penalty box Jacob Weiler managed to slip his second goal of the night past the Milverton goalie, assisted by Andrew Young and Keaton Holm, for the final game score of 3-2. Despite the Drives best efforts this is where the score would remain.During the last 14 seconds of play Milverton pulled their goalie challenging Walkerton to a five on three, with each team having players in the penalty box. Jayden Dietz received the puck in the corner and did an excellent job of tying up the play to kill the clock. Some fast saves were made by Matt Markauskas and a great team effort from everyone in keeping the Drives away from our net!!
