Weber's Electrical PeeWees off to a great start
The boys are off to a great start this year, they tied their season opener against Shallow Lake on Thanksgiving weekend. After being down 4-1 the boys came back to tie it up in the 3rd period and kept the score even at 5-5 at the end of the game. This hard working team were deserving of their turkey after that game!
On Wednesgy night we traveled to Mildmay to play the newly amalgamated South Bruce. After a close back and forth game our Walkerton boys came out on top winning 2-1. 2 games down and 2 more to go to finish off our first week.
Game 3 had us travelling to Keady to play TCDMHA and our boys were ready. The smaller ice surface takes some getting used to, a few more penalties and icings didn't hurt our chances though. With solid defense and goaltending we kept the Rebels to only 1 goal and with our offense getting lots of shots, we won 4-1.
On Sunday Oct. 20 we hosted Tiverton Thunder for our Home Opener. After 3 games this week our boys are playing well together and were ready to face this newest opponent. The boys got lots of shots off but neither team could manage to net one past these two great goalies in the first two periods. With 4 minutes left in the 3rd period Walkerton managed to get one and they would hold onto that lead to win the game 1-0.
Next game is Sun. October 27 at 12 at home.
