Sweet Victory
It was an exciting game to watch with all Walkerton players showing effort and engagement throughout the game against South Bruce on Tuesday night. Landon Moore scooped up a hat trick and one more to boot. The Walkerton Power Worker's team defeated South Bruce 4-2.
The scoring opened with Michael McAskill passing the puck out in front of the South Bruce net. Landon Moore made no mistake in potting one for Walkerton at the 4:40 mark. This was the sole goal during the first period.
Walkerton did well playing offensively and defensively. Jayden Louther made a nice pass to Jordan Bester who passed off to Moore, scoring his second of the game. South Bruce was not to be counted out. They scored seconds later on Jared Pletch as they deked him out, making it 2-1 for Walkerton to end the second period.
The third period was eventful as well. Landon Moore scored a hat trick. Congratulations on your tremendous effort Landon! Bester and Louther picked up the assists again. As the game progressed, Louther fed the puck to Ty Arnold. Arnold passed to Moore who netted his fourth goal of the night. South Bruce scored one more time on a funny bounce. The game ended 4-2 for Walkerton. Everyone should be very proud of this team win. Keep up the momentum and rigor as you enter your playoffs. Good luck and keep your chin up!
