Exciting match-up
Prestige Pee Wee boys gave fans an exciting game in a match-up against Mt. Forest on January 9, 2012.

Both teams worked hard and gave fans an exciting show on ice in a game that eventually closed in a 2-2 tie.
Walkerton's Christian Kieffer, assisted by Brett Wagner and Jayden Louther, scored in the first period to put the home team on the board first. From that point on, Walkerton was all offense but were unable to capitlize on many opportunities in front of the Mt. Forest goalie.
The visiting team came out stronger in the second, and socred 8.5 seconds into the period. The goal appeared to have caught Walkerton's goalie Calder Davidson by surprise when the puck bounced off an opposing player's skate and into the net.
Both teams worked hard in the third period, and with only minutes left Mt. Forest took the lead. Walkerton responded in less than a minute and tied the game when Austin Kelly had a two on one rush. Kelly was assisted by Calvin Wilson and Wagner.
Walkerton's offense, consisting of Kelly, Wagner, Jordan Bester, Noah Currie, Ethan Schmidt and Kieffer, kept the pressure on into the final minutes of the game. The home team had another great opportunity to score with a three on one, but were unable to tally another point.
Davidson's defensive unit of Ty Arnold, Cody Jones, Louther and Wilson helped ensure the game remained tied. Despite the home team getting a penalty with only two minutes left in the game, Walkerton was still able to stop a three on one rush and a break away in these last seconds of the game.
Walkerton has a busy weekend ahead of them with two exhibition games, and fans can only hope for more of the same hard work from all the boys.
