Prestige Pee Wee L.L. Lose One, Tie One On The Weekend
On Saturday December 17th, the two Walkerton Pee Wee L.L. League Teams squared off against each other in a spirited match.

After two hard working periods and a few too many penalties by each team, both teams came out in the third for a pure skill and skating contest. The Weber’s Electric commanded a 2-1 lead into the last minute of play, then pounced on the Prestige gamble of pulling the goalie for the extra skater. Weber’s potted two more goals to end the tally with a 4-1 win.

On Sunday morning, Prestige hosted Listowel. Walkerton fell behind in the first but evened it up in the second on a nifty bit of forechecking by Jordan Bester and Christian Kieffer. They fed the puck to Noah Currie, who rifled the puck in, to tie the game at 1-1. Listowel regained their lead later and the Prestige boys gambled by pulling the goalie in the last minute of the third period.
Both Cody Jones and Ty Arnold put on a textbook display of holding the puck inside the Listowel blue line and both pounced on a rebound with 41 seconds left in the game, to tie the game at 2-2. It was hard to tell which lad last touched the puck prior to the goal but they were satisfied that their team had scored. The game sheet credited Ty with the goal and allocated assist to Brett wagner and Ethan Schmidt.

Good weekend young men, and good games.
