What a Game!!!
The Fritz Concrete Novice Rep Team travelled to Goderich on Friday night for game two of the best of five series!
The team travelled down on a bus and spent the hour trip getting pumped up for the game listening to music and having fun!
When the puck dropped the excitement continued throughout the entire game. Ryan Fotheringham played one of his best games of the season, he made many amazing saves all night long! Walkerton opened the scoring in the second period when Riley Keip out skated the Goderich defence and buried the first goal of the game. The game was back and forth with both goalies making great saves to keep it a close game at 1-0. Adam Girdler made it 2-0 with about six minutes left in the game. It was a nail biter right to the end and Walkerton clinched the 3-0 victory with an empty net goal by Aiden Hinsperger.
Ryan Fotheringham was our player of the game as he earned his second shutout of the season!!!
Game three is in Walkerton on Sunday at noon!
